TAME THE WAVES
Dating back at least to the 1970s, the waves off Punta Mita’s peninsula were a serious surfer magnet. It’s easy to see why: Punta Mita provides more than a dozen year-round spots to climb atop a board and ride the waves. There are both long, easy-going breaks and more demanding reef breaks with faster waves—challenging to both novices and accomplished surfers. Nearby beach towns such as Sayulita offer alternate sites for surfing, as well as a mellow surf culture. |
