The ‘X Factor’ host and Courtney Mazza will tie the knot at Joe Francis’ villa. Party time!
Eva Longoria is already in Mexico for the big event, tweeting, “So excited to be here!”
In Touch is reporting that nuptials will happen Saturday at Girls Gone Wild guru Joe Francis’ Casa Aramara villa in Punta Mita.
Joe confirms that on his website, with a note that says, “I’ve been friends with Mario for more than a decade and I met Courtney on one of their very first dates over 4 years ago. I have never seen a couple more in love and committed to each other and their family. I love them both very much and I’m honored to be a part of their special day.”
But first, a pre-wedding party will take place tonight, featuring a taco bar, a fresh fruit bar, a Tequila bar and bonfires on the beach. Sounds perfect to us!
In Touch says to expect the ceremony to be a more formal affair, with the couple exchanging vows at 5 p.m. ET in front of a Catholic priest, who will be flown in by Lopez.
It’s all being filmed for a TLC special — Mario & Courtney’s Wedding Fiesta airs Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. — so it makes sense that the cake will be designed by TLC’s Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro. In Touch says it will consist of “alternating layers of chocolate and red velvet, with a creamy vanilla frosting.”
The couple said long ago that their daughter, Gia, 2 will be the flower girl.
But as for a honeymoon? That’s being put on hold. Lopez is too busy juggling The X Factor and Extra.
Mario Lopez to wed in Mexico
Lopez and his wife-to-be, Courtney Mazza, will stage a rehearsal dinner for family and friends like Eva Longoria on Friday night before the big day.
A source tells In Touch magazine, “The theme is a white party, with everyone being asked to dress in casual, white beach attire.
“There will be cocktails, a taco bar with beef, chicken and seafood tacos, a fresh fruit bar and a Tequila bar – with Tequila from all over Mexico. A mariachi band and DJ will supply the music as bonfires burn on the beach.”
The couple’s two-year-old daughter, Gia, will serve as flower girl and the nuptials will be filmed for an upcoming TV special, Mario & Courtney’s Wedding Fiesta, which will air on America’s TLC channel on December 8.
It’s not Lopez’s first wedding – he was briefly married to actress Ali Landry in 2004. The union lasted less than a month amid rumours of infidelity.
