DINE, master developer of Punta Mita, is proud to welcome John O’Sullivan to Punta Mita, where he has been named General Manager of the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. Prior to joining Punta Mita, John was General Manager of the Four Seasons Resorts Bali – overseeing operations in both Bali resorts at Jimbaran Bay, and on the banks of the Ayung River gorge at Sayan. In addition to managing these two hotels, John also served as the voice of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts relating to Spa and Wellness in Asia, a theme which he believes is essential to not only a resort experience, but in everyday life.
Originally from Sligo, Ireland, John has a degree in Hotel Management from Shannon University in Ireland. Since joining Four Seasons in 1995, he has been involved at the executive level at their hotels and resorts in Jakarta, Aviara in Southern California, Cairo, and Bali. Prior to joining Four Seasons, he served as general manager for four Forte Meridien Hotels, including acting as opening general manager at the Forte Grand Hotel Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Earlier, general management appointments in the United Kingdom included Forte Crest Gatwick in West Sussex, the historic Forte Grand Castle Hotel in Windsor, and the Bush Hotel Farnham in Surrey.
Complementing the breadth of this hospitality experience, John brings a unique perspective and vision, the result of having visited over 73 countries and lived in 8. He is enthusiastic about being in Punta Mita, and in Mexico, and learning more about this dynamic country and its historical, magical culture. A true renaissance man, not only does John excel in the art of hospitality, but also creates his own art – he is a published poet who has been writing since 1974 and an accomplished artist who has been painting since 2000. He is also a motivational speaker, invited to speak and inspire young people at schools and colleges worldwide. John believes in giving back to the community, especially to organizations that assist homeless children or orphanages. An avid golfer, John says he enjoys a good game and conversation, no matter the handicap, and has been a regular fixture on the Punta Mita golf courses since his arrival. The father of four, John’s family will join him in Punta Mita later this summer.
Please join Dine in extending the warmest possible Punta Mita welcome to this new member of our community.
We look forward to seeing exciting changes coming soon to this resorts’ original anchor hotel, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
