Ceremony to Give Thanks to Father Sun is back!
The ceremony we perform honors Father Sun for the gifts of life and illumination he has bestowed upon all the inhabitants of Mother Earth today and for the unity of all the living things who receive his life force. It is a great honor to performance this ceremony in front of Tatei Haramara (goddess of the Pacific ocean) the elemental cradle of life where our children at the age of five years old are recognized as individuals by the ancestors.
In addition to this ritual, two “palapas” are set at the beach vendors area where ethnic merchandise will be for sale, also handcraft workshops will be available. The main objective is to give guests and residents an opportunity to interact, create and understand Pre Hispanic cultures, getting involved with different art techniques that along with the ceremony presented 3 times a week will help to have a better and more complete understanding of local tribes and to show the meaning of sounds, colors patterns and figures used in Mexican art.
