Our resorts have planned a menu of creative dining experiences from beachfront barbeques, to elegant gourmet affairs. DINE, Master Developer of Punta Mita, together with Punta Mita Properties International Real Estate, Club Punta Mita and the Punta Mita Master HOA, wishes each of you a blessed holiday season, in the warm company of your family and friends and in the spirit of joy and generosity which this festive time honors.

Chef Richard Sandoval adds his signature touch to Bahia oceanside restaurant

Chef Sandoval reinterprets coastal Latin cuisine in his newly crafted menu at the Four Seasons Resort’s oceanfront dining venue, Bahia Coastal Latin Grill, where he blends traditional Latino flavors with global ingredients. Start your meal with a variety of small plates, made for sampling and sharing. From the wood-burning grill, your fish or seafood entre is—literally—served ocean to table. Prime cuts of beef, pork or chicken are seasoned with vibrant Latin marinades. Signature sauces and spice blends accompany each dish, together with plentiful sides of local market produce.

About Chef Sandoval:
Growing up in Mexico City, Chef Sandoval and his family would gather at his grandmother’s table for large, lively meals. Chef Sandoval would join his grandmother in the kitchen as she prepared authentic Mexican feasts from scratch.  These early influences inspired Chef Sandoval to enroll at the Culinary Institute of America and launch a movement in contemporary Latin cuisine. The Chef’s signature style combines authentic Latin ingredients with international flavors and inventive culinary techniques. He has been recognized around the world for elevating Latin dining to new heights. At Bahia Coastal Latin Grill, Chef Sandoval accents fresh, local seafood and fine cuts of meat with signature sauces and spice blends.  Salud y buen provecho!

Special Punta de Mita Foundation Message

On Saturday November 26, the Punta de Mita Foundation held its fifth fundraising Gala at the Haitia development located in the neighboring community of Litibu. Haitia was very generous in hosting and fully underwriting the event so that 100% of the proceeds would go directly to the Foundation.

The event was attended by many Punta Mita area residents, who enjoyed a presentation of the Foundation’s work and achievements by founding Board Member and Master of Ceremonies for the evening, Greg Stanton. Those present also enjoyed a play that was written and performed by area high school students, highlighting the impact that trash has on us and on the environment.

During his presentation, Greg Stanton gave special thanks to all the committees that now work within the foundation including:

  • The Education Committee: Headed by Beth Fuller, this project has done tremendous work with the local Kindergarten, and is committed to following the kids as they move up the ladder. Education in general is a key area for the foundation.
  • Senior Center Committee: Renovation of this Center was done in 2011 so that the community elders have a location where they may hold their weekly meetings in a clean and functional facility.
  • Trash Committee: This project has been, and continues to be, funded by the Men’s Luncheon Group headed by Punta Mita resident Charles Ewell. This group’s commitment has meant that the highway from La Cruz to Punta Mita has been kept clean for the past three years and is now moving in the direction of cleaning and educating the people not to throw trash on the roads. A special recognition was made for Charlie Ewell who could not be present.
  • The “Angels” Ladies’ Group:  This special group of ladies funded a Nutrition and Health program that was well received by the community. They will continue to follow up on this program to ensure that the good work started continues. Sandy Howe made a presentation of the Angels’ work, and invited others to join in their endeavors.
  • Sports Committee:  This committee, headed up by Ranchos resident Peter Newton, just finished the construction stage of one of the most visual and important projects the Foundation has done to date. The new Sports Center for the communities of Coral del Risco and Emiliano Zapata was formally inaugurated at an event earlier that day. The inauguration was attended by Board Members, Sports Committee members, local and municipal officials and of course many of the local families who will enjoy this facility for years to come

In closing, Greg Stanton thanked all who have participated in the Foundation’s work, citing his words at the first Foundation event held four years ago when he stated:

Tonight is the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of those who live in our surrounding communities. Thanks to those who have served on the Board, its committees and most of all the donors. Lives have been changed and the community has improved.  With your continued support the Punta de Mita Foundation and its committees will continue to bring forward new projects that will continue to improve the quality of life for those that live in our surrounding communities”.
