For the past several years, Mexico’s Pacific coast has been perfumed with the aroma of exquisite Mexican cuisine and the flavors of recipes from all over the world through the International Gourmet Festival.

This tribute to great food comes together this year from November 10 – 20, drawing in renowned chefs from restaurants and hotels in Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit, along with master chefs from a variety of regions. Here, attendees can indulge their taste buds with much-anticipated dishes that have turned this destination into a foodie’s paradise over the past ten years.

It all began with a casual dinner in 1995, when Thierry Blouet, Heinz Reiza and Sivan Muller created an idea to draw visitors to Vallarta during the November low season. Today, that idea has transformed into a well-known event that attracts international cooking celebrities every year. The festival’s extensive list of celebrities includes Anton Mosimann, named an Officer of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II, and Gerard DuPont, president of the French Culinary Academy.

This important festival is an event where Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit come together as world class culinary destinations. Among the activities on the agenda, you’ll find gourmet dinners, author cuisine, talks by famous chefs and vintners, fusion cuisine, tequila tastings, cheeses, gourmet brunches and social cocktails.

This year The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort is proud to participate in this singular event, with the presence of renowned Chef Gastón Yelicich, from Uruguay, who has participated in various culinary events in England, USA, Mexico and Brazil and who will be joining us for the Individual Gourmet Dine Around, offering a carefully selected and exquisite menu. Sunday November 20th at 7:30pm “Gourmet Safari – Route # 4″.

The festival is an incredible opportunity to experience and taste the charm of this region of Mexico, bathed by the waters of the Pacific and scented with the enticing flavors of haute cuisine, all set in an unbeatable gourmet atmosphere. Welcome once again to this unforgettable “Fiesta”!
