As we prepare for the upcoming season we would like to advise and welcome two new members to the Club Management Team. Firstly, Executive Chef Sergio Chavez joins the team in charge of the culinary operations in our 3 Beach Clubs and Events replacing Chef Eduardo “Pato” Persico. Some may remember Sergio who has participated in several Gourmet & Golf events as well as Chefs Table events. Originally from Guadalajara Sergio’s career includes roles as Executive Chef at the W Mexico City, Executive Sous Chef St. Regis Punta Mita, Chef at the St. Regis Doha as well as opening a number of free-standing restaurants in both Guadalajara & Mexico City.
Secondly, joining us as Food & Beverage Manager of Punta Mita Beach Clubs & Events is Oscar Nicanor who joins us from a similar role at The Grand Hyatt Playa de Carmen. Oscar previously worked with both St. Regis Mexico City & The St. Regis Punta Mita for circa 10 years in several different roles in the Food & Beverage department. Oscar replaces Philippe Barraud who after more of 10 years at the helm of our Beach Clubs retires.
We thank both Philippe and Pato for their dedication and wish them well in their future endeavors and wish Sergio & Oscar well as we continue our quest in elevating the Punta Mita Club experience.
Club Punta Mita da la bienvenida a Sergio Chávez y Oscar Nicanor
Mientras nos preparamos para la próxima temporada, nos gustaría presentar y dar la bienvenida a dos nuevos miembros del equipo de Operaciones del club. En primer lugar, el Chef Ejecutivo Sergio Chávez se une al equipo a cargo de las operaciones culinarias en nuestros 3 Clubes de Playa y Eventos en reemplazo del Chef Eduardo “Pato” Persico. Algunos recordarán a Sergio, quien ha participado en varios eventos Gourmet & Golf, así como en eventos Chefs Table. Originario de Guadalajara, la carrera de Sergio incluye roles como Chef Ejecutivo en el W Mexico City, Sous Chef Ejecutivo St. Regis Punta Mita, Chef en St. Regis Doha, además de abrir una serie de restaurantes independientes tanto en Guadalajara como en la Ciudad de México.
También damos la bienvenida como Gerente de Alimentos y Bebidas de Clubes de Playa Punta Mita & Eventos a Oscar Nicanor, quien se une a nosotros desde un rol similar en The Grand Hyatt Playa de Carmen. Oscar trabajó anteriormente con St. Regis Mexico City y The St. Regis Punta Mita durante aproximadamente 10 años en diferentes roles en el departamento de Alimentos y Bebidas. Oscar reemplaza a Philippe Barraud quien luego de más de 10 años al frente de nuestros Clubes de Playa se retira.
