Golf Kitchen Punta Mita was a Smashing Success

The First Annual Golf Kitchen Punta Mita, created in collaboration with Golf Kitchen Magazine, concluded its 4-day run on April 29th, instantly becoming a new highlight on the Punta Mita calendar of events.

Bringing together golf and gastronomy with the warmth of our own Punta Mita community, guests and residents enjoyed incredible dining experiences from Pato Pérsico, Punta Mita’s own Executive Chef and event host; Doug Blair, Executive Chef at Cassique at Kiawah Island Club and his Sous Chef, José Carlos Fábregas; Chrissie Bennet, Sous Chef at Winged Foot Golf Club; Joseph Klages from Sebonack Golf Club; Damian Gilchrist, Executive Chef at Sankaty Head Golf Club; Lalo Palazuelos from Club de Golf Bosque Real; Gastón Yelicich from Cantegrill Country Club and Eva Millán from El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Club.

Exquisite meals were presented at the Residents’ Beach Club, Sufito at Sufi Ocean Club, Carolina, the signature restaurant at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, and Kupuri Beach Club, as the chefs showcased some of the finest cuisine from the golf industry, putting their own cultural and culinary influences on every plate.

Golfers showed their skills, competing in a 2-day tournament on the Bahia, and then the Pacifico Signature Jack Nicklaus golf course, and congratulations go to:

Even the guest chefs came out swinging in a spontaneous 4-hole tournament, which, amidst a lot of laughter and some good-natured ribbing, was a fun way to honor the association between the two industries, with Doug Blair, Executive Chef at Cassique at Kiawah Island Club, South Carolina, USA, scoring his way to victory.
