Promising Chef at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort Awarded Top Culinary Honors

Join us in congratulating Chef Jesús Durón of the signature Carolina Restaurant at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort for being awarded Up and Coming Chef at the prestigious Gourmet Awards 2017. This year’s award ceremony was celebrated with a gala event hosted by Grupo Expansión and Travel + Leisure magazine at the beautiful Hacienda El Centenario Mundo Cuervo Tequila, in our neighboring state of Jalisco, after the jury made an extensive culinary tour throughout the country to name its winners across 14 categories.

Prior to joining The St. Regis, Durón’s most recent position was as Chef de Partie Garde Manger and Patîsserie position at Elmer Restaurant, a chic bistro in Paris, France. He has also served as a chef at many celebrated restaurants, including La Marine in Noirmoutier, France; Azurmendi Restaurante in Vizcaya, Spain; El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain; and multiple restaurants in Mexico City including, Pujol, Quintonil and Biko.
