Connect for Kids Project

PEACE and Fundación DINE Punta Mita will Provide Technology for Local Children and Encourages Visitors to Bring School Supplies During Season of Givin

In collaboration with PEACE and Fundación DINE Punta Mita, Punta Mita, the ultra-luxurious 1,500-acre resort and residential community situated in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, proudly announces the “Connect Kids Project”.

As a result of the success and operations of the Humanitarian Relief Appeal program initiated in March 2020 at the onset of the global pandemic crisis, the organization now has funds reserved to maintain support and to provide additional aid with educational technology to the families in need with the new Connect Kids Project (CKP). CKP has planned to purchase and distribute 533 tablets to primary/secondary students and 130 laptops to high school students to support the community with direct access to appropriate technology for virtual learning. CKP plans to announce strategies to connect nearly 200 school-age toddlers in the coming weeks. We begin distributing the Tablets and Laptops to the kids next week in the local communities of Corral del Risco, Emiliano Zapara & Higuera Blanca.

This holiday season, through the CKP we encourage all Homeowners, guests, and visitors of Punta Mita to join in on supporting the local children and their education by bringing school supplies for the children of Punta de Mita. Gift ideas include colored pencils, coloring books, notebooks, etc. for children aged four years old and up. Visitors can drop their gifts at Casa Mita from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. from November 1, 2020 – January 31st , 2021. The HRA Committee will coordinate periodical deliveries to the kids via PEACE Punta de Mita.

PEACE and Fundación DINE Punta Mita are pleased to share that the Humanitarian Relief Appeal officially assisted the community of Punta de Mita for seven consecutive months, and the group has handed out over 19,000 weekly bags of groceries with donations exceeding Mxp$10,500,000 pesos. These efforts are expected to carry into February 2021. We are forever grateful to all those who contributed to the cause – we could not have done this without your support.
