Punta Mita Expeditions wants to get your Spring off to an adventurous start with the coolest new aquatic experience – Hookah diving. A hybrid of snorkeling and scuba, Hookah diving, with the aid of a floating tank, allows you to breathe underwater, meaning you can explore underwater without any experience or scuba certification. Air tanks float at the surface, attached to divers by a 15-foot hose. A weight belt helps anchor you, giving you the freedom to explore like a scuba diver without the need to return to the surface for air, like a snorkeler. It’s an amazing new way to explore the beautiful reefs of Punta Mita, which are home to more than 100 species of fish.
As part of your Hookah dive experience, you will enjoy heading out to sea on one of Punta Mita Expeditions’ beautiful power boats, their luxurious catamaran which offers fresh ceviche and drinks, or the 82-foot Neptuno yacht which includes an onboard chef preparing a delicious meal. To complete your experience, dive-masters will guide you through your underwater journey and take GoPro photos, so you can take the memories home with you.
